The first test that Cisco has done on its new VPN-based security solution is a test it’s doing to see how much it can help companies protect against attacks by other malicious entities.
The VPN-equipped Cisco Systems is equipped with an encrypted connection and a VPN service provider that provides encryption and authentication for the connection, and then the company is able to log on to other networks.
That’s it.
A second test is done on a VPN connected to a local area network, and the company then tests that connection to see if it’s really secure.
It will also test if it can prevent attacks from spoofing or other malicious actors.
We’ll start with the second test in the coming weeks, and we’ll update as we get more details.
