By now, you’re probably wondering if Apple is actually trying to sell you the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6S, but the company is going all in on a different kind of phone.
The company has unveiled a new phone with the same specs as its flagship model, but in a cheaper price point.
According to an announcement from the company, the iPhone SE is a “premium” smartphone that can go for $499.
The phone comes with the Snapdragon 810 chip, a 2.5GHz dual-core CPU, and 2GB of RAM.
The specs are pretty standard for a smartphone from Apple, and that’s a good thing.
The iPhone SE has an 8-megapixel rear camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, and an 8,000mAh battery that can be recharged through USB Type-C.
The phones will ship with the iPhone 8, but Apple is also working on an iPhone 8 Plus.
The phone is expected to be released in September.
